A little of this and a little of that

In our exploring ways we went to Alabama and Louisiana. Didn't do much in either, but in Louisiana we almost bought fillet of alligator. Next time we will take a cooler.

Christian applied to college and we met with the financial aid people. Since he will graduate from a homeschool in Meridian, he qualifies for the "Tuition Guarantee" so we do not have to pay tuition. One of the requirements is that he apply for all financial aid available (Federal and Mississippi) which means he has to take the ACT. I was worried, because he has never really taken a timed test and I didn't know if he would have test anxiety (I do.) They said that he doesn't have to have a minimum ACT score to qualify for the tuition guarentee, and if he is unhappy with his score he can retake it or take the accuplacer.

We are going to have a garduation party for him in Ohio. I am trying to think of something to make it unique but Christian just wants food. Boys!

My mom is planning to visit - maybe in March. She would love to move here, but her husband insists that he won't move. I told her that a marriage is 50/50, and she gets a vote too. She said that he still wouldn't move, so I told her to tell him she would miss him. lol

Still can't workout, but I can do a lot more than 2 weeks ago. I am hoping to be able to start working out again this week, but I am going to have to take it slow.

We are planning a few camping trips. We want to spend a week camping close enough to home that Marty can go to work. Since he is taking a vacation in June, we don't want to have to take another weeks vacation, but want the boys to be able to camp. (Make sense?) We are still trying to decide which tent we want, but as soon as we do we are getting a new one. Our old tent has served us well, but it was a gift and not what we would have chosen. We have also outgrown it. Having a place for everyone to sleep is a good thing, I think.

Best wishes and congratulations to Christian! I try to remember that boys will just want food... Our son has another 14 years before graduation. :)

Still thinking of you and your foot. I had surgery to repair my torn ACL about 4 years ago and it still hasn't gotten back to where it needs to be - partially my fault. The dr. is a jerk. I hope you are having a speedy recovery.

Take care.
